EV Community Resource Fair

Join the Los Angeles County Internal Services Department (ISD), the Pico Rivera Library, and WCVI for a free Electric Vehicle (EV) Community Resource Fair focused on sustainable transportation and EV adoption.

This family friendly event will feature EVs on display, a children’s book giveaway, door prizes, refreshments, and activities for all ages. Trusted nonprofits, public agencies, and local partners will also be on site to provide information about EV incentives, programs, and resources available to the community.

StudentsBuild ’26 National Summit

The StudentsBuild National Summit, presented by LA Promise Fund, will return to the YouTube Theater on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The 11th Annual Summit will welcome 5,500 students for a day of student empowerment, leadership panels, and conversations on wellness and entrepreneurship.

The Summit will also welcome back HelloFuture, a dynamic resource fair that connects students with leading companies, non-profits, and colleges.

Overview

The County of Los Angeles is recruiting Digital Equity Community Ambassadors! Digital Equity Community Ambassadors are Los Angeles County residents who participate in the County of Los Angeles Intergovernmental Broadband Coordinating Committee (IBCC) Meetings and share their ideas, lived experiences, and thoughts about technology community resources, including in-home broadband internet services, computers, digital skills training, and support. They help ensure that everyone in Los Angeles County is connected. Interpretation and translation services are available upon request for the Meetings. Please complete and submit the Interest Form no later than Friday, March 7, 2025, by 5:00 pm (PST). For questions, please email ibcc@isd.lacounty.gov.

 Community Benefits

  • $50 gift card for each Steering Committee Meeting they participate in
  • $50 gift card for each Working Group Meeting they participate in
  • $25 gift card for each General Membership Meeting they participate in

 Requirements

    1. Must be a resident of Los Angeles County
    2. Must be able to attend at least one meeting of the three monthly
    3. Must be able to serve a one-year commitment

In February of 2024, the Board of Supervisors approved the Sidewalk Vending Ordinance (SVO) for the Unincorporated Areas of LA County (UIA) with an effective date of, August 4th.

The Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) is hosting events to support new and existing street vendors get formalized and become part of LA County’s open-air economy.

¿Cómo solicitar el Certificado de Registro para la Venta Ambulante?

Únase al Departamento de Oportunidades Económicas del Condado de Los Ángeles para aprender los detalles acerca del registro para la venta ambulante, el subsidio CMFO y otros recursos valiosos para los vendedores ambulantes.

En febrero, la Junta de Supervisoras aprobó la Ordenanza para la venta ambulante (SVO). Esta ordenanza aplica solamente a las áreas no incorporadas del condado de Los Ángeles (UIA), y entró en vigor el 4 de agosto. Esta ordenanza creó reglas y estatutos para operar como vendedor ambulante en las áreas no incorporadas del Condado, incluyendo el requisito de registrarse.

El Departamento de Oportunidades Económicas (DEO) está organizando talleres para ayudar a los vendedores ambulantes nuevos y existentes a formalizarse y unirse a la vibrante economía al aire libre del condado de Los Ángeles.
