SMALL BUSINESS POP-UP FAIR: RECOVERING TOGETHER

In recognition of the one-year anniversary of the fires and the County’s continued commitment to economic recovery and growth, on January 8th, 2026, the Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) will host a Small Business Pop-Up Fair: Recovering Together in Altadena, a community event and marketplace designed to offer resources and technical assistance to wildfire-impacted small businesses and workers. Registration is available at: bit.ly/PopUpFair2026.

The pop-up fair is hosted in partnership with the Office of Supervisor Kathryn Barger, the LA County Department of Parks and Recreation, the Altadena Chamber of Commerce, and dozens of agencies, organizations, and small business vendors.

What to Expect:

• 1:1 technical assistance from community business organizations

• On-site sign-up for resources like the Shop Local LA County Gift Card Program and commercial permitting, grant and loan programs, legal aid, and hiring and training incentives

• Shop Local LA County Marketplace featuring Altadena-based small businesses

When: Thursday, January 8, 2026

On-site services available 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Where: Loma Alta Park – Gymnasium

3330 N Lincoln Ave, Altadena, CA 91001

Free parking located in front of and behind the gymnasium. Both parking lot entrances are off of Sunset Ridge Rooad.

East Hollywood Region- Free Food Walk-Up Giveaway

The Los Angeles County Supervisor and Hilda Solis office is hosting a food distribution event at Los Angeles City College (LACC) in partnership with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. This initiative aims to support the East Hollywood community, providing relief in response to the high winds and wildfires that impacted Los Angeles County last month. The distribution will offer boxes of non-perishable items, fresh produce, face masks, and diapers, available while supplies last. Additionally, the event will feature a resource fair with Los Angeles County Departments to further assist Angelenos.

The Delete the Divide initiative will also attend and have laptop giveaways to eligible residents.

  • No eligibility requirements.
  • Pushcarts recommended.
  • Line formation begins at 8.30 am.
  • Until supplies last.
