If you experience a power outage at a Los Angeles County department facility, first contact your building or facilities administrator (or your manager/supervisor) to determine whether the issue is related to a utility provider or isolated to the building.

If the outage appears to be a utility issue (typically affecting multiple buildings or a larger area):

  • City of Los Angeles (LADWP service territory):
Visit the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) Outage Information page at LADWP.com/outages or call 1-800-342-5397.
  • Southern California Edison (SCE service territory – unincorporated LA County and surrounding areas):
Visit the SCE Power Outages page at SCE.com or call 1-800-611-1911.

If the outage is limited to your building and cannot be resolved by your building or facilities administrator, contact the County’s Internal Services Department (ISD) Emergency Red Card Hotline at (888) 344-4473.

This process helps ensure power disruptions are directed to the appropriate utility provider or County facility services team for faster resolution.
