The Facilities Operations Service (FOS) is the lead agency for the delivery of condition assessments, deferred maintenance and systems replacement projects in more than 4,000 county facilities. FOS provides maintenance services for 13 million square feet of space in approximately 200 County facilities as well as providing custodial and landscape maintenance for 300 locations. Our comprehensive facilities support includes:

Maintenance & Operations
ISD provides maintenance and operations services to over 200 County facilities covering more than 13 million square feet. Performing a wide variety of maintenance services including electrical repairs, elevator maintenance, plumbing services, and general maintenance, ISD keeps County facilities safe and productive.
Custodial & Landscape
Custodial and grounds maintenance services are an essential part of maintaining a healthy and safe environment for staff, clients and citizens. ISD provides maintenance services at more than 160 County facilities, covering over 13 million square feet including daily custodial, grounds and landscape maintenance and trash removal.
Program & Project Mgmt
ISD serves as the program manager for the County’s Strategic Asset Management plan to address deferred maintenance issues through capital systems replacements and repairs to system deficiencies. This includes leading the assessment of facility conditions, establishing multi-year capital and renovation plans, and delivering projects through construction management methods.
Special Services
ISD’s Special Services Section is an in-house event coordinator; plans, organizes and delivers support for a wide-range of special events, from ribbon-cutting ceremonies to large-scale event. Yearly, Special Services coordinates more than 750 events for Departments and Board Offices across the County.
