  • ISD develops and maintains custom applications to support vital operations for County Departments on a wide variety of platforms including mainframe systems, web and mobile applications, GIS applications, and software-as-a-service.
  • ISD Data Centers process millions of transactions each day from over 40,000 computers. Information Technology Services is implementing state-of-the-art technologies for cloud computing, network security, and disaster recovery.
  • Los Angeles County's communications network includes more than 13,000 mobile phones, 800 network locations and 100,000 telephone lines. ISD also supports the Countywide Integrated Radio System which ensures essential services in a crisis.
  • ISD Shared Technology Services manages several critical Countywide systems including Countywide email, the Customer Assistance Center Help Desk and 4-1-1 Information Line as well as field services for computer workstation and business machines support.
